Make some tea, have a sketch. Relax in the
Morning Chair
It’s a crisp Saturday morning, and you’re up earlier than you need to be. Wandering past the living room, the sun’s rays catch your hand and you relish, momentarily, in the calm warmth it provides. The Morning Chair beckons.
“Come, sit, relax, and let your mind wander.”
You gladly oblige.

Conceptually, the Morning Chair is lends itself to an experience of comfort and intentionality. I imagine it poised in a sunny spot, the user starting their day with a tea, a note/sketch pad, and some thoughts in their mind. A small drawer provides a home for any favourite pens/pencils, or a small pad.
As well as a day starting experience, the Morning Chair is designed as an exercise in wood bending and hand shaping - curves and profiles emerged organically as the piece came together. It was a joy to create, and I hope for it to bring joy in use.
