Kattetre

Kattetre is an entryway stand designed around a loose brief of Mid Century Modern and/or Japanese influence, and inspired by Italian designer Vasko Sotirov and his piece "Ceremony of Desires".

Kattetre features a tabletop and some compartments for small storage. It was designed around a loose brief of Mid Century Modern and/or Japanese influence, and inspired by Italian designer Vasko Sotirov and his piece "Ceremony of Desires".

I enjoy Sotirov’s quote: "The hands are able to translate emotions into physical objects which have a purpose to exist beyond functionality..."

The creation of this piece has really left me pondering the idea of creating meaning/emotional value through a physical/visual medium.
