The design of ‘Evolve’ is intended as a gentle metaphor - a reminder that although the world we inhabit is beautiful, it would ultimately like to return to how it was before we arrived. That nature takes over where it can.
Inspired by the work of James Krenov, the carcass features hand-cut dovetails and joinery, full-width european beech panels, and steam bent components.
Shelves are sized as a drinks cabinet - bottles below, and glasses above.
Carcass in European beech and reclaimed rimu, curves and details from an unknown reclaimed hardwood. Finished with water-based lacquer and wax.
